Welcome to my ESAMD. We are a family owned and operated company that started in 2020 during the height of the COVID 19 pandemic. It was during this turbulent and chaotic time that one of our cofounders became extremely dependent on her dogs for emotional stability. After searching for a legitimate remote doctor who could help her get a letter of recommendation for her emotional support animals and instead finding shady websites with long questionnaires but no consultation with an actual doctor or therapists, she teamed up with her uncle to form My ESA MD.
We are physician led and dedicated to making legitimate care available for as many patients as possible. No gimmicks, no scams, and no hidden extra fees. We believe every patient should be treated with the same level of care we’d want for ourselves and members of our family.
At My ESA MD we aim to provide the best possible care for our patients from medical doctors who have dedicated their lives to helping patients struggling with mental and/or emotional disabilities. We know that many of our patients don’t have insurance and can’t afford to be scammed. That’s why My ESA MD is a doctor-led ESA service provider, and why all of our patients will speak to a licensed doctor during their telehealth visit, instead of being given lengthy online questionnaires with no doctor oversight.
Our ESA provider team is dedicated to making emotional support animals legally and legitimately accessible to as many people that need them as possible. We also know in the world we live in today, providing simple services with the least amount of complication, steps and stress is one of the kindest things we can do. So that is what we do. Low prices, low stress and top of the line legitimate care from real licensed medical doctors is what we provide our patients with seven days a week, 52 weeks a year.
Humans are social creatures, yet studies show more people feel isolated now more than ever before. If we can help our patients feel happier and less alone because they are able to live with their emotional support animal, we are fulfilling our number one goal and purpose.
An emotional support animal, or ESA, can make an enormous difference for someone who is suffering from anxiety, PTSD, depression, and many other emotional or mental disabilities. Having an ESA can mean the difference between feeling completely isolated and hopeless, and having a best friend and family member who is there for you and loves you and gives you hope.
We treat all of our patients’ cases individually, providing legitimate ESA evaluations that are performed by one of our licensed medical doctors, while also evaluating if there are other avenues our patients should explore for their mental health support (in addition to their ESA). This puts the focus on patient-centered care, not just ESA-centered care. We are also firm believers in transparency; if our doctor determines that a patient does not need an ESA, we give a full refund with no questions asked. No back and forth, no hassle.
Our family run company is extremely familiar with the ESA laws on a local and federal level and we stay up to date with any legal changes to ensure our patients always receive a legally sound letter. We take pride in being available to inform patients of their rights, and how they are able to exercise those rights on a case by case basis.
We are a doctor’s office first and foremost. Our medical director and lead physician is a Stanford graduate and has been providing nothing but the best care to patients for over 30 years. While our focus is, of course, to provide the best ESA patient care, we do more than just that.
The first step in getting care from My ESA MD is contacting us either by telephone or email. If you contact us by email, please be sure to leave a good telephone number and time when you will be available to speak to one of our initial consult coordinators. You will then be contacted by a member of our intake team, who will take down your contact info and go over a few preliminary questions with you regarding your symptoms and need for an ESA. We will then discuss payment options and when a good time for your appointment with our doctor would be.
Following your initial phone call with our consult coordinator, you can either be put into the queue and automatically called back by the doctor once they get to your spot in line (usually the fastest option—patients usually receive a call back within the hour) or you can schedule a specific time that works best for the doctor to call you. Once payment is arranged and an appointment time is scheduled, you can expect a call back from one of our licensed medical doctors. The doctor will discuss your medical history with you in detail, and the specific mental and emotional difficulties that you are suffering from that would be improved by the presence of an ESA. The doctor will then determine if he or she feels that an ESA is right for your situation.
If our doctor determines that you qualify for a letter, you will receive your letter via email in PDF form—generally within the hour after being approved. If we have a particularly high patient volume that day, it may take a bit longer, but our patients receive their letters the same day that they are seen by the doctor.
It will be at this point that the doctor may offer other recommendations for your specific situation in addition to your ESA. Sometimes after a patient turns in a letter of recommendation from their doctor to their landlord for a housing situation, their landlord may request additional information or paperwork to be filled out. At my ESA MD, we don’t charge extra fees for these additional services. In addition, our letter is good for an entire year after you receive it from us. Also, if you decide that you want to renew with us the next year, you’ll receive a 20% discount on any renewal visit.
In addition to filling out additional paperwork, we are always happy to answer any additional questions that our patients may have regarding their rights or ongoing support.
After looking for countless remote options online and having a very hard time finding what seemed like legitimate and affordable help getting a letter of recommendation for an emotional support animal for housing, it became apparent that there was a huge need for a new kind of remote doctor run telehealth ESA clinic. A clinic that focused on providing legitimate care for patients suffering from some sort of emotional and or mental disability from a dedicated and compassionate team—available not only by email but directly through phone or video chat. Thus, My ESA MD was born.

At My ESAMD showing compassion, empathy, and understanding towards all our patients in every chance we get is one of our greatest honors and responsibilities. We understand that many of the people that are seeking help from us are often suffering from isolation, depression, and difficult life circumstances. This is one of the main reasons that we insist upon providing people with in person, telehealth visits, as opposed to questionnaires and email correspondence only. In this day and age, where so many things have become automated and done through email or online only, adding a human touch is more important than ever. It’s also very important for our company to provide inclusiveness and respect to all of our patients, regardless of their race, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, economic status or country of origin.
At my ESA MD we promise that our patients, if eligible, will receive a legitimate ESA letter from a doctor licensed in their state. We also will do whatever we can to help all of our patients find the care they deserve and offer ongoing support even after they receive their letter. While we know not all patients will qualify for the support of an ESA, we promise you are only financially responsible if you qualify for a recommendation letter from one of our doctors. We offer a money back guarantee; if for some reason your landlord refuses to accept the letter you receive from one of our medical doctors, you will get a 100% refund. (Terms and conditions apply) It is our pleasure to serve, and we look forward to your call!
